Alerts
PagerDuty uptime and downtime alerts
Open a PagerDuty incident the moment a monitor goes down, so your on-call rotation and escalation policies take over, and resolve it automatically when it recovers.
Incidents that resolve themselves
An incident opens when a monitor goes down and resolves by itself when it's back up, so nobody has to close it by hand.
Only real outages
Every failure is retried and confirmed from California, Amsterdam and Singapore before anyone is alerted, so network blips stay quiet.
The reason, not just “down”
Each alert says what failed, such as HTTP 503, a timeout or a missing keyword, how many regions saw it, and links to the monitor.
