3xx Redirection
301 Moved Permanently
The resource has a new permanent address, given in the Location header.
Common causes
- A page or whole site moved, like http → https or a domain change.
How to fix it
- Update links to the new address. Search engines move rankings to it.
- Avoid chains: redirect straight to the final URL in one hop.
- Browsers cache 301s hard, so only use it when the move is final.
Monitoring
